The first time I went to Stonehenge many years ago, I wasn't impressed with the energies. I wondered what all the fuss was about.

The energies didn't seem that special to me. There were a lot of energies there, but not anything that I thought would really transform my life.

It was only later that I realized I wasn't connecting with the authentic energies of Stonehenge.

I was connecting with what I now call "spiritual tourist" energies.

Sacred places on earth have had people coming to them for hundreds to thousands of years. All these visitors — and most mean well — leave energy behind in these sacred spots. They leave energy of what they think the places are and what they think the energy means. They unknowingly (and sometimes deliberately) reprogram and distort the authentic sacred energies of these sites.

It makes it hard to connect with authentic sacred and transformative energies.

If you happen to be there at a time when there aren't many people around, it's better — but there's still years and years of these energies masking the miraculous transformative energies that drew people to these places in the first place
